The thread size on my Beaulieu lens is somewhere between 46mm and 49mm. The weird part is when I put a 46mm to 55mm step-up ring on the lens, and turned it, it tightened quite nicely before loosening it again.

So I turned it again and stopped at what I believe to be the highest threshold of tightness before loosening.

Will I regret this later when I'm shooting and my filter falls off in front of Steven Spielberg?

<font size="2" face="verdana, sans-serif">i an angenieux c mount zoom lens that has the same thread - it's a weird french thread that doesn't correspond with any readily available step-up rings. i forget what it's called, something like E5 or E6 or something.

stuff some teflon tape in there and call it good, or get out the super glue!
